Cirkle is a community-first social app designed for young professionals who move to a new city and want to build genuine social connections. Instead of treating social connection as a process of endless matching or dating, Cirkle helps people discover others through shared interests, activities, and local communities.
Research Methods
Problem
Existing social platforms frequently focus on dating, follower counts, entertainment, or one-to-one matching. For someone who simply wants to make friends, these experiences can feel uncomfortable or overly transactional.
Solution
Cirkle takes a community-first approach to social connection. Instead of asking users to match with strangers or build connections around appearance, it helps them discover people through shared interests, activities, and communities.

Onboarding Screen And Log-In
A simple onboarding flow that helps users set their interests, availability, and location to discover relevant people, activities, and communities. The log-in screen provides a seamless way for returning users to access their Cirkle.
Home Screen
A personalized starting point that brings relevant activities, events, and communities together in one place. It helps users quickly discover what’s happening around them and find opportunities to connect based on their interests.
Discover
The Discover experience organizes social discovery into Activities, People, Communities, making it easier to find connections that feel relevant. Users can explore nearby activities, meet people with similar interests, and join communities that match their lifestyle.
Messages & Profile
The Messages screen keeps conversations with people and communities organized, making it easy to continue connections beyond the initial discovery. The Profile screen brings together personal details, interests, connections, and account preferences, giving users control over how they present themselves and manage their Cirkle experience.
